Sweet Chai Apple Pie:
- A double pie crust (I made a sourdough crust with cinnamon and nutmeg.)
- 4 apples, cored, peeled, and sliced
- 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract’s
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
Bake at 400° for 25 minutes. Brush with milk and cover (to prevent edges burning). Bake at 375° for another 35 minutes. Let sit for 1-2 hours before cutting.
